About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled CYP Assessor to work with learners in schools, residential children’s homes, and community care settings. You’ll assess learners on their ability to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care for children and young people in accordance with the regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace assessments in children’s care settings.
- Guide learners to develop competence in safeguarding, child development, and person-centred care.
- Observe practice, provide feedback, and monitor learner progress.
- Maintain accurate assessment records in line with the awarding body (Pearson) and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of learners and the assessment process.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in children’s care, including residential, educational, or community environments.
- Knowledgeable in safeguarding, child development, and care legislation.
- Confident in conducting assessments and giving guidance to learners and employers.
- Skilled in digital tools for assessment and reporting.
- Collaborative, supportive, and passionate about developing care professionals.
Requirements
- Recognised Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in children’s care.
- IQA qualification desirable.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade B or above.
- Strong digital literacy skills are a plus.
- Must have a recognised assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent).
- At least 3 years of experience in children and young people’s care, including residential, educational, or community settings.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, child development, and relevant legislation.
- Experience observing practice and mentoring learners in CYP care.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade B or above.
- Competent in using digital platforms for assessment planning and reporting.

Salary: £500 - £3000 plus £150 per observation
