Responsibilities
This is a full-time, on-site Registered Manager role based in West Yorkshire.. The Registered Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of children’s supported living and domiciliary care services, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and compliance with Ofsted and regulations.
Key responsibilities include
- managing and supporting staff teams, overseeing care planning and risk assessments, and ensuring that young people receive person-centered support tailored to their needs and aspirations.
- The role also involves maintaining accurate records, preparing for inspections, liaising with external professionals and families, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- The Registered Manager will be accountable for service performance, safeguarding practices, and promoting a positive, inclusive culture within the service.
Requirements
- Proven leadership and team management experience within children’s residential, supported living, or domiciliary care settings.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted and regulatory frameworks, safeguarding procedures, and best practice in children’s social care.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with young people, families, professionals, and staff.
- High level of organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Relevant care or social care qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience in care planning, risk assessment, and person-centered support for children and young people with diverse needs.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and promoting the rights and independence of children and young people.
- Comfort with basic digital systems for record-keeping, reporting, and communication.
