Ofsted Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home (EBD)
About Us
We are seeking an ambitious, compassionate, and experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 4/5-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) Children's Home in Nuneaton.
This is a rare opportunity to establish and shape a new service from the ground up. As the founding Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for creating a positive culture, building a high-performing team, and delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Supported by an experienced and highly visible Responsible Individual, you will receive hands-on guidance throughout the registration process, opening phase, and ongoing operation of the home, whilst maintaining the autonomy to lead and develop the service.
This role is ideal for an experienced leader who is passionate about improving children's lives and wants to make a lasting impact within a growing and successful organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
- Drive quality assurance and continuous improvement through audits, Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 processes, action plans, and service development.
- Monitor safeguarding concerns, incidents, complaints, and children's outcomes.
- Develop and implement therapeutic, child-centred care plans and programmes.
- Recruit, supervise, develop, and motivate a skilled and dedicated staff team.
- Ensure staffing levels, training compliance, and best practice standards are maintained.
- Build effective partnerships with local authorities, social workers, families, commissioners, and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and excellence throughout the home.

Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above).
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a residential childcare setting.
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a management or senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation, and residential childcare standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
- Passion for achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
