Health Care Assistant
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support patients in various care settings, including care homes and home care environments.
This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through compassionate care and support. The Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, adhering to care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those in their care. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate transportation needs.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support individuals in their daily routines, promoting independence where possible
- Follow individualised care plans accurately and compassionately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and residents
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Support with light domestic tasks within the care environment
- Drive to appointments or care visits as required, utilising a valid driving licence
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication purposes
- A driving licence is preferred to facilitate transport requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse individuals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being

Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
