Complex Carer – 2:1 Care Package (Paediatric, Nights)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Complex Carer to support a very complex paediatric client as part of a 2:1 care package within the family home. This role is focused on night shifts, providing high-level clinical and personal care to ensure the child’s safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night.
You will work alongside another trained carer, delivering consistent and responsive care in a supportive home environment. This is a highly rewarding role suited to someone who is calm, attentive, and clinically confident in managing complex airway and medical needs overnight.
Required Competencies & Experience
Applicants must be trained and confident in the following:
- Tracheostomy care
- Tracheal and oral suctioning
- Oxygen therapy (night care)
- Seizure management
- Gastro-jejunal (GJ) feeding
- Medication administration
- Stoma care
- Manual handling

- Previous experience in complex paediatric care
- Confidence working within a 2:1 care model
- A caring, patient, and reliable approach
- Ability to remain vigilant and work effectively during night shifts
- Comfortable working in a household with a dog
