We are currently looking for compassionate Care Professionals to join our dedicated branch covering Hertsmere and South Hertfordshire. Work Locations
As this is a community based role, you will be traveling to support clients within their local communities. We proudly provide high quality care across the region, primarily covering:
- Potters Bar & Surrounds (EN6): Potters Bar, South Mimms, and Darkes Lane.
- Borehamwood & Elstree (WD6): Borehamwood and Elstree.
- Radlett & Shenley (WD7): Radlett and Shenley.
- Bushey & Surrounds (WD23): Bushey and Bushey Heath.
A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role due to the geographical nature of the rounds.

- Highly Competitive Pay: £14.70 to £16.50 per hour plus 30p per mile.

Flexible shift patterns including 7 days a week are available to suit your lifestyle. Day shifts run from 07:00 to 14:00, and evening shifts run from 14:00 to 22:00.
What You Will Be Doing
You will help vulnerable clients live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes. Following personalised care plans designed to promote dignity and respect, your responsibilities will include:
- Personal care: Washing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Medication support: Preparation, administration, collecting prescriptions, and reminders.
- Mobility support: Transfers, walking support, the safe use of aids and equipment.
- Nutrition and mealtimes: Preparing meals and snacks, cooking nutritious meals, considering dietary needs, and feeding if required.
- Light domestic duties: Laundry, making beds, and light cleaning.
- Companionship: Building meaningful relationships, emotional support, conversations, activities, and outings.
- Health monitoring: Observing and reporting changes in condition to healthcare professionals and family.
- Social inclusion: Helping maintain community and family connections.
- Documentation: Accurate record-keeping.
- Safety and emergency response: Creating safe environments and acting quickly when needed.
- Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues, professionals, and families.
What You Will Need
You do not need formal care experience. The skills you have gained from raising a family, caring for loved ones, or running a household are exactly what makes a brilliant Care Professional. Full, paid training is provided. We are looking for:
- Genuine empathy, compassion, and respect for others.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a naturally caring nature.
- Patience and active listening skills to truly understand our clients' needs.
- Resilience and adaptability, because no two days or clients are exactly the same.
- A keen eye for detail to spot any changes in a client's health or well-being.
- The ability to use your initiative and stay calm under pressure.
- Willingness to learn new skills and participate in continuous training.
- Great communication and a collaborative team spirit.
